Nope Wheel calipers are silver. Bit against the bright colours stuff. Been there done that, prefer this to be a bit reserved and look oem if at all possible.

Red or something really subtle like silver then I reckon!

I’m 50/50 whether to put a bright colour in. Or just keep it subtle.

Why don't you go for the same colour as the bodywork?...

I’m torn between silver grey and black connectors. Or all black.

I'd go silver grey with black to contrast with the bodywork and compliment your new interior bits and pieces.

I see what your saying but think they’d stand out too much for my liking. Want them to look as oem as possible. So gone for Matt black with black connectors. Can always spray them if I fancy a change

So first problem with the m3 has happened. Driving from Birmingham - London to pick up the girlfriends new car. Literally pull up on the drive of the seller. Heard a loud bang and smoke coming from under the bonnet. Lifted it could clearly see the coolant expansion tank seals had gone. So tried to fill again with coolant then drove round the corner but same happened smoke everywhere so pulled up and phoned the RAC to come and recover it. Fast forward 17 hours a stay overnight in a hotel and it finally got collected. Absolute nightmare with RAC. So now have an extra day in London as a bonus. But what a shit day.

Now got to get that sorted, ordered the new tank from Bmw. Will be getting the air conditioning condenser replaced as I was told Wednesday when trying to get it re gassed I had a leak from there.

Oh the joys of owning an e46

I know. Just worried it’s going to be something costly. I’ve ordered a new coolant tank and proper Bmw coolant. Just need to get them to check why it’s not cooling it down as it should.

Car is finally back !!! I’m over the moon. Had the water pump, thermostat, viscous and new tank all done. Had Bmw coolant put in. Had a few bits done just as preventative while they had access to it. Took it for a drive god I forgot how much I love it ! All back to normal.

Stacks are getting fitted next weekend now. Can not wait !!!!

Air con condenser needs to get fitted. Not sure if it’s something I could do myself or not.

Wasn’t as much as I expected. Cheaper than £350. So I’m happy with that tbh 😂. Thought it would’ve been more than £500

Good price although the M3 specific waterpump is nearly £400 so they must have put a normal M54 one on.

I ordered it through gsf. So surely must be the correct one ? Comes with warranty if anything goes wrong though.

No it's wrong mate. The M3 one is dealer only and built from a special composite. The normal ones are either plastic or metal. (Hence the price difference)

GSF/Eurocarparts aren't that great with supplying parts for the M3. I ordered a radiator from eurocarparts and it was a totally different size as they'd supplied me with an M54 one.

They will no doubt offer you warranty but that will only be on the £30 water pump and not your £3k engine.

It will physically fit and work but id be concerned about flow rates etc as BMW obviously specified a different pump for a reason.

stacks were fitted today. I’m over the moon with how they look at the sound!!!!!! So awesome. Really opens the sound up to how a m3 should sound.

Pics.

So I had a xenon bulb on the passenger side that was a different colour to the driver side. Bit more yellow but looked rubbish in the dark. So got two new bulbs and sidelights.

Then nothing else has happened apart from giving it a clean today and looking back and realising how good it looks.
